2021 Hall of Fame Inductees

Four legends of American cycling have been voted into the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame. The Class of 2021 inductees are:

  • Bunki Bankaitis-Davis (Modern Road & Track Competitor),
  • Paul Deem (Veteran Road & Track Competitor),
  • Myles Rockwell (Off-Road Competitor), and
  • Richard Bryne (Contributor to the Sport).

Including the Class of 2021, there are now 165 Inductees in the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame.

Normally held in Davis, CA, the 35th Annual USBHOF Induction Ceremony for the 2021 Inductees will be held in Colorado Springs, CO on November 6, 2021. This is part of a year-long commemoration of the 100th anniversary of USA Cycling.

Induction Ceremony tickets are on sale at usbhof.org under “Shop/Events”. Individual tickets for the Induction and dinner are $75 and a table of 8 can be purchased for $550.

2020 Inductees Honored

Since the 2020 Hall of Fame Induction was postponed due to public health restrictions, the 2020 Inductees will also be honored on November 6th, in Colorado Springs.

The Class of 2020 inductees are:

  • Jeff Pierce (Modern Road & Track Competitor),
  • Marianne Martin (Veteran Road & Track Competitor),
  • Leigh Donovan (Off-Road Competitor), and
  • Joe Breeze (Contributor to the Sport).

Safety Requirements

The USBHOF and USA Cycling are committed to producing a safe Hall of Fame induction event for all of our guests. With visitors of all ages attending from all over the U.S., we want to ensure that guests can safely enjoy the induction.

For the 2021 USBHOF Induction, we will follow all applicable safety guidelines as set forth by the local, county and state authorities. Further, all attendees will be required to wear masks while at the indoor induction ceremonies over the weekend, except when eating or drinking at the induction events.

Attendees 12 years of age and older, will be required to provide photo I.D. and proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 prior to entry into the USA Cycling venue.

If not fully vaccinated, attendees 12 years of age and older, will be required to provide photo I.D. and proof of having received a negative/”not detected” result on a COVID-19 test administered within 72 hours of the induction event.

Attendees who have purchased Induction tickets and cannot meet either the proof of vaccination or proof of negative COVID test requirement, may contact the USBHOF by no later than October 22nd, 2021 to receive a refund of their ticket purchase price, minus a $5.00 per ticket handling fee. No Induction ticket refunds will be issued after October 22nd, 2021.

Guests who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, or have had close contact with any individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 should not attend any induction events.
