2025 Inductee: Special Recognition
The Wolverine Sports Club has a long history of developing world class cyclists, speedskaters, and Nordic skiers. Known as “The Club of Champions”, the WSC offers Juniors to Masters, a program that has produced countless state, national, world, and Olympic champions since 1888.

WSC Racers
The club’s thriving racing program is built on the coaching regime designed by Mike Walden a 1990 US Bicycling Hall of Fame inductee. The racing program targets the specific needs of athletes ranging from entry-level racers…..to international cyclists.
The program has produced more than 100 National Champions, 300 National medalists, and several Olympic and Pan Am athletes. Professional cyclist Frankie Andreu was a Wolverine champion. He competed in 9 Tour de France races, including the two US Postal Team victories in 1999 and 2000.
World class athletes include: Sue Novara-Reber (a two-time World Champion), Connie Paraskevin-Young (four-time World Champion and 1988 Olympic bronze medalist), John Coyle (a 1994 Olympic medalist) and Sheila Young (a three-time World Champion). They all began as Wolverines.
